Lip Synching

Whilst filming the shots for the third day of filming, some of these entailed shots where I planned my actress to lip-sync some of the lyrics to the song, as I am including the common conventions of lip-synching in my video.

We first practised my model mouthing the words to the song, as shown below, but I felt this did not appear as effective and realistic as I had hoped.


As my actress is also singing the song I am using for my music video, we found this as an advantage for the convention of lip-syching as she sings and performs regularly. 

Therefore to get the most affective and realistic lip-synching, my actress actually sang the song whilst I was filming, as shown in the video below, and I then removed the sound to the clips during post production and editing.
