Creating my tracklist

I carried out research into existing tracklists to see what they featured, how they were displayed and to gain inspiration in how to create my own. Here are some of the things that I found out:

  • They range from anywhere between eight and twenty songs, depending on the artist, they're release and bonus racks and CDs.
  • Each song title tends to be quite short with only one or two words for each song.
  • There tends to be a range of song titles, with no two songs exactly the same.
  • Sometimes tracks feature a collaboration with another artists and this is presented on the tracklist with a ft and then the artist's name.
I looked at any of my favourite artist's album tracklist's and found inspiration from some of the titles to create my own song names. I decided that a main theme running throughout my album would be identity, as this is often featured through indie music, thus I feel many of my song titles reflect this theme. Here are some of the existing track lists that I looked at.

After looking at these, I have created my final tracklist:

Fix You
Into The Dark
Lose Your Love
Wild ft. Molly
Sanity
Can't Go On
Eleanor
Do It Anyway
Symphony
Timescale
Uncontrollable
